Detection Classes consist of

We train dogs to search in many different environments facing many different distractions. Some of our training areas include, an auto facility with over 3000 cars, numerous warehouses, abandon buildings, a local Airport, and 100's of acres of open fields and wooded area. All students are given written handouts and video the dog teams during school. Things we cover include are legal considerations, types of searches, tactics and search utilization, maintenance training and aid placement and finally K-9 First Aid

When we certify a dog they are ready to hit the street. We certify dogs to national standards USPCA or NAPWDA.

Narcotics Dogs

We train these dogs to detect marijuana, cocaine (HCL and Base), heroin and methamphetamines. They are trained in either passive (sit) or aggressive(scratch) alerts. All dogs are trained in numerous environments facing many distractions. We also train drug dogs to search people, this is ideal for Prisons, Airports, or businesses where people may carry narcotics. We train using real narcotics.

Bomb Dogs

Explosive detector dogs are trained to passive (sit) alerts on the following 15 different odors and weights ranging from grams to pounds.

We use commercial and military grade for training. We teach handler tactics, Explosive identification and safety. Threat assessment and search technique. We also go over utilization techniques and have an Explosive Ordinance Disposal specialist give a class for handlers on situations they may face and how to work with your local Bomb squad.

Handlers are given numerous written and video materials and go through scenario training.

Human Tracking Dogs

We train dogs to track human scent throughout a variety of environments. This is ideal for law enforcement and security companies. Dogs are trained to locate and follow possible tracks to their source or ending point. Ideal for break-ins, locating lost people, like children or the elderly. Dogs are also trained to locate articles on tracks that may be vital pieces of evidence. Some of the items covered in training are scent patterns, wind, weather, psychology of fleeing subjects and terrain.

• K-9 training duration is 150 hours.

Security K-9

We offer training for dogs used in Security work. A function similar to Law Enforcement but a field that has it's on unique differences. We will train dogs in the following areas.

• Building / Warehouse searches

• Handler Protection
• Training time is 6 weeks.

Handler / Trainer courses

We offer handler and trainer courses that cover selection testing of dogs to deployment of fully trained dogs. Our courses to choose from are Detection dogs, Patrol Dogs, Dual purpose dogs.

Decoy / Agitator Seminars

We offer a decoy / agitator school for those wanting to gain more skill or learn the proper skill in Decoy work. Remote Collar Seminars

Learn the proper methods and uses for remote collars. Discover the keys to success with today's technology. Learn the ability to communicate with dogs in a way that is the pure fundamentals of K-9 learning (Positive Reinforcement and Negative Reinforcement). Be able to communicate with K-9's at any distance and be able to demonstrate humaneness of K-9 training in all phases of learning. Today with K-9 Liability at the focus of attention, you will be able to show that no matter the distraction, no matter the area you are in and no matter who is watching , you will be able to show Handler control at its best. Remote Collars (E-collars) have become a valuable tool for today's Police or Civilian K-9 Handler and trainer and once you learn the proper ways to use this collar nothing else REMOTELY comes close.
